The technique you approached with is a very simple outline of the character, and colouring, and shading. This is so simple, yet looks extremely well done.
It does seem as though his wings could be a little larger, perhaps wrapping around his body a little, but that's beside the point. The wings' size just looks a tensy bit off in my opinion.
Also, I'm assuming that Shadow is squinting because of the light? His facial expression doesn't seem very natural by that, and it throws the theme of the picture (i.e. the title matching the actions, or theme of the picture) off.
Other than that, it's very well coloured, and drawn. ^^ Well done, love.
